Pune: Chandannagar police are searching for two men from Kolhapur who allegedly duped a 33-year-old woman from Manjari of Rs27 lakh on the pretext of securing a govt job for her.

Between Jan and March 2024, they took Rs36.42 lakh from the woman, citing various reasons. The duo returned Rs9.30 lakh to her but allegedly duped her of the remaining Rs27 lakh.
“They gave her a joining letter, which turned out to be fake,” the officer said. He said the woman then started pursuing them for her money.
