As part of the initiative, secondary and higher secondary school teachers will undergo training in career guidance to help students make informed choices about higher education and vocational courses. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has issued a circular directing schools to ensure that teachers complete the training through BISAG. Each session will be telecast at 9am and rebroadcast later the same day. The training will cover programmes offered by Skill University, medical education courses, schemes of the Directorate of Employment and Training, degree and diploma engineering courses, Kamdhenu University, agricultural universities and ITIs. Offices of district education officers have directed govt, grant-in-aid and non-granted schools to ensure teachers watch the recorded sessions and use the information while providing career guidance to students. Schools will also submit the number of teachers completing the training through an online Google Sheet. Download the TOI App.
