A senior CMRS official said, “All critical systems, including track, signalling, rolling stock, electrical systems, passenger amenities, emergency systems and others, are being inspected. V Venkatasubramanian, commissioner of Metro railway safety (CMRS), southern circle, Bengaluru, along with his team, commenced the three-day safety inspection of the 7.5km elevated section covering six stations.
“The CMRS inspection is a statutory step towards obtaining authorisation for opening this section for public service,” stated a press release from BMRCL.
