He died around 4.30 am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment. “The Korde couple had been at loggerheads with the landlord after the deal on this particular premises, from where he had been operating classes since 2001, went south.
Police said the property dispute stretched back more than a decade. Police are now examining the dispute and circumstances leading to Korde’s death. Sunita alleged that her husband had approached MIDC-Cidco police with complaints over the dispute and other issues, but was distressed over the alleged lack of action. Following Korde’s death, she approached MIDC-Cidco police and threatened that the family would not accept his body until action was taken against those named in a note allegedly left behind by him.
Commissioner of police Pravin Pawar said, “We have registered a case of abetment to suicide against four suspects including the landlord of the premises and further investigation is underway.”
