Lucknow: An art exhibition titled Art for Ability at Kala Srot Gallery on Wednesday featured over 250 paintings, craftworks and creative pieces by artists with disabilities, specially talented artists and underprivileged children.
The exhibition also showcases works by 18-year-old independent artist Arjun Gupta , who is on the autism spectrum. The exhibition features diverse artworks drawn from the artists’ own experiences, imaginations and emotions. A special section has been dedicated to paintings created by underprivileged children supported by Simran Seva Sansthan. The initiative aims to help children identify their abilities, express themselves creatively and build confidence through art. Participating institutions include Simran Seva Sansthan, Shakuntala Mishra University, Asha Army School Lucknow, Dosti Study Hall, Deaf Women’s Welfare Foundation and I Support Foundation. The initiative has been providing a platform to artists for the past six years.
