Muzaffarnagar : A court in Muzaffarnagar has issued a non-bailable warrant against a basic shiksha Adhikari (BSA) for failing to appear before the court in connection with a six-year-old case concerning the age of two accused who were claimed to be juveniles at the time of the alleged offence.
The district and sessions court had earlier issued a notice to BSA directing him to appear on Sept 18. Taking note of his repeated non-appearance, Judge Diwakar issued a non-bailable warrant against him and directed the DSP city to arrest and produce him before the court on Oct 12. During the proceedings, the families of two accused claimed that they were minors at the time of the incident. The complainant subsequently approached the juvenile justice court challenging their age claims. The matter has been under trial for nearly six years. However, he did not appear. He was again required to attend Thursday’s hearing but remained absent.
Additional district and sessions judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar directed circle officer (city) Siddharth K Mishra to arrest the BSA and produce him before the court on Oct 12.
