New Delhi: Delhi govt Thursday carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle involving 34 IAS and DANICS officers, appointing 2014-batch AGMUT cadre officer Awanish Kumar as commissioner (excise) as it finalises a new excise policy pending for nearly four years.

Additional chief secretary (social welfare) Bipul Pathak has been given additional charge of financial commissioner, while Prashant Goyal has been appointed additional chief secretary (power), with additional charges of CMD, DSCSC, and administrative reforms. Navin Kumar Choudhary has been posted as additional chief secretary (health and family welfare) and GAD, while K Mahesh has been appointed as secretary (art, culture and language) with additional charge of MD, DKVIB. Transport commissioner Niharika Rai has been given additional charge of CMD, DTC, while Arti Lal Sharma has been assigned additional charge of tourism.
