Hyderabad: A delegation of BRS MLAs and former MLAs will participate in Bathukamma celebrations organised by the Emirates Telangana Cultural Association (ETCA) in Dubai on Oct 11.
The event, aimed at celebrating Telangana’s cultural heritage and traditions among the Telugu diaspora in the UAE, will be held at the Shabab Al Ahli Sports Club from 3 pm to 10 pm.
ETCA representatives met BRS working president KT Rama Rao last month and invited him to the celebrations, according to BRS. Following the invitation, KTR advised a delegation led by former minister and Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy to attend the event and represent the party. The delegation includes Korutla MLA Kalvakuntla Sanjay, former Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan, former Armur MLA A Jeevan Reddy, former Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta, former Yellareddy MLA Surender and former Bodhan MLA Shakeel Ahmed.

Organisers said elaborate arrangements were being made for the celebrations, which are expected to draw a large number of Telangana expatriates. The event will showcase Bathukamma, a symbol of Telangana’s culture, traditions and the spirit of womanhood, on an international platform. Download the TOI App.
