Earlier, in April 2025, the young law student represented his college at the Monroe E Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. Shankar studied up to Class 12 at Udaya Public School in Haiderganj.

Shankar said his interest in the Mahabharata, particularly Bhishma Pitamah, inspired his research into whether principles governing warfare existed long before the modern era. The study argues that even wars must be bound by ethical limits. Shankar will visit the prestigious college for the second time later this month.

Lucknow : Ayodhya lad Suvansh Shankar, who is currently pursuing law at The National Law Institute University in Bhopal, has been selected to present a research paper at the Oxford Dharma Conference, to be held at All Souls College, Oxford University, London. Shankar, who is the co-author of the research paper, will present the concept of Dharma-Yuddha as a pre-existing framework for humanitarian conduct in warfare and explore its parallels with modern international humanitarian law.
