A few weeks ago, Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry’s Eat, Learn & Play foundation and Warren Buffett’s Glide Foundation collaborated to host an auction whereby one could win to have lunch with the three of them and seven guests upto the winner’s choice.
Their foundation, Eat, Learn & Play, was set up in 2016 to help children have access to nutritious meals, quality education and help them maintain a healthy lifestyle by encouraging more and more participation in sports. For now, the focus remains on the four time NBA champion Stephen Curry as he gears up for the new season of the league after he signed an extension with the Golden State Warriors for $116 million. The billionaire investor Warren Buffett has been able to raise over $51 million for the Glide Foundation between 2000 and 2022. Though neither of them addressed it in public, a social media post by Stephen Curry’s foundation read as, “A Seat at the Table can do a lot more than bring people together — it can create real impact. We are proud to be a part of A Seat at the Table, a special auction bringing together Warren Buffett and Stephen and Ayesha Curry for a one of a kind lunch experience. The post added, “Proceeds support @glidesf and @eatlearnplay, helping provide meals, books and tutoring, and safe spaces to play for kids and families. Grateful for what this moment can make possible. The proceeds from the auction was divided between Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry’s Eat, Learn & Play Foundation and Warren Buffett’s Glide Foundation.
