Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray
Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray on Friday claimed that around 5 lakh voters’ names have gone missing in Mumbai since the special intensive revision of electoral rolls and there are inconsistencies in the names of around 10 lakh voters across the state. He said 24,000 bogus voters were found in Worli. We had submitted a list of 17 lakh people to officials before the municipal elections.
Because their locations had not been mapped, he claimed that around 900 voters in Mahim received notices to prove their citizenship. The lost decade has seen the socio-economic and political fabric of the country being torn, only giving rise to unemployment, inflation and corruption.
Calling chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar a “traitor”, he demanded his resignation and warned that govt will fall before the next elections in 2029. So, how did such a massive mess-up occur in the electoral roll?” said Thackeray. India will reclaim its democracy,” Thackeray said in a post on X.
“Thousands of voter names were listed against a single 10×10 room. Alleging that some living individuals were marked as deceased, he questioned the basis of the SIR process. “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod! Every Indian knows by now that the elections have been stolen. Voter fraud and election fraud have led to absolute mis-governance!
Citing data from the Bhiwandi assembly constituency, he pointed out that in 2024, there were 3,73,659 voters and 1,91,691 people cast their votes. He said post SIR, only 1,91,643 voters were listed.
