Nashik: In view of the heavy rush for the annual Kalikadevi Navaratra fair at Mumbai Naka, the city police have imposed traffic restrictions on the road in front of the Kalika temple from Oct 11 to 20. The city police have also issued a revised traffic notification for special MSRTC buses operating from New CBS (Thakkar) Bus Stand between Oct 9 and 26. Around 250 additional ST buses will operate daily for devotees travelling to Saptashrungi Gad during this period.

The road from Gadkari Signal to Hotel Ruchi will remain closed to all vehicles, while the stretch between Chandak Circle and Hotel Sandeep will be closed to all vehicles except two-wheelers. Motorists can use the Mumbai Naka–Ruchi Hotel–SSK Hotel–Chandak Circle route or the Mumbai Naka–Madina Chowk–Sarda Circle–Shingada Talav–Gadkari Chowk route. Those travelling to or from Nashik Road and Indiranagar can use the MICO Circle–Seble Furniture–Milindnagar Slum–RD Circle–Indiranagar tunnel route or the ABB Circle–CCM Signal–RD Signal–Indiranagar tunnel route. Under the revised plan, buses heading to Saptashrungi Gad will travel via Meher Signal, Ashok Stambh, Raviwar Karanja, Panchavati Karanja and Dindori Naka. On their return journey, buses will take the Dindori Naka–Panchavati Karanja–Raviwar Karanja–Sangli Bank Signal–Shalimar–Khadkali Signal–Trimbak Naka Signal route to New CBS. Download the TOI App.
Rest Camp Road in Deolali Camp and the road between Kendriya Vidyalaya and Joshi Hospital will remain closed from 2pm to midnight from Oct 11 to 20. ST buses departing from Mahamarg Bus Stand will exit through the gate opposite Hotel Ruchi, turn left towards Suyash Hospital and proceed via SSK Hotel, Chandak Circle, Gadkari Signal, Sarda Circle and Madina Chowk to Mumbai Naka junction. All city and ST buses heading towards Nashik Road, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Road and Dhule Road will be diverted via Trimbak Naka, Khadkali, Sarda Circle, Madina Chowk and Mumbai Naka. Buses operating from CBS to Saptashrungi Gad are exempted. Meanwhile, traffic restrictions will also be in place near Renukadevi temple in Bhagur during Navratri. Motorists have been advised to use alternate routes.
