More than 1,500 people were detained from several parts of Delhi ahead of a proposed demonstration at Jantar Mantar. Delhi Police intensified preventive measures across the national capital as preparations for the planned gathering prompted an extensive security operation.

Officials also referred to the application being submitted fewer than 10 days before the planned gathering and alleged non-compliance with conditions during an earlier agitation. The Delhi Police deployed its specialised all-women unit, known as the Pink Force, wearing distinctive pink vests during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests in New Delhi. The action took place amid heightened security arrangements and preventive measures across the national capital during the protests. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and leader Saurav Das were detained by Delhi Police aboard their flight after it landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday.
