Villagers said dumpers and other heavy vehicles plied the road at high speed throughout the day and that speed breakers would help curb reckless driving. Bhadauriya said further action would be taken after receiving a written complaint from the family. The deceased, Prahlad Kashyap, a resident of Kirav village, was returning from a relative’s house in Paras village when the tractor-trolley hit his motorcycle, killing him on the spot. The death prompted villagers to block the Paras-Amauli link road for about three hours, demanding speed breakers and action against speeding heavy vehicles. When Ghatampur police tried to remove the tractor-trolley, several women sat in front of it and reiterated their demand for speed breakers. Inspector Manoj Singh Bhadauriya pacified the protesters, following which the vehicle was moved to a police outpost. Prahlad is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. Download the TOI App.
