Nagpur: A 26-year-old woman allegedly poured hot water on her husband on Thursday following a quarrel at their home in Kawtha village under Koradi police station limits.

As per police, the victim, Nilesh Tate, a 36-year-old milk seller, and his wife Karishma , frequently quarrelled over minor domestic issues. Nilesh was freshening up when Karishma allegedly brought a steel bucket filled with hot water and poured it on him from the front. The hot water caused burns to his throat, chest, neck, back and both the hands. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a medical facility for treatment. Following the incident, Nilesh lodged a complaint against his wife. Based on his statement, police registered a case against his wife Karishma. Police are investigating the incident to establish the circumstances that led to the alleged attack. Details about the woman’s response to the allegations were not immediately available.

The situation took a violent turn on Thursday night when he returned home after distributing milk.
