Suryansh Shedge’s counter-attacking half-century and Gurjapneet Singh’s three-wicket haul helped India A register a 49-run victory over Australia A in the third and final one-day match on Sunday. However, the hosts’ win proved insufficient to prevent Australia A from clinching the three-match series 2-1. Shedge top-scored for India A with a brisk 66 off 60 deliveries, while Vipraj Nigam contributed 40 runs as the hosts recovered from a middle-order collapse to post 275 all out in 47.3 overs. India A made a strong start after openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya added 83 runs in just 10.4 overs. Prabhsimran scored 39 off 34 balls, while Arya narrowly missed a half-century, making 49 off 45 deliveries. However, Ben Dwarshuis and Will Sutherland triggered a collapse, claiming three wickets apiece to leave India A struggling at 159/6. Australia A began their chase positively, with Josh Philippe scoring 56 and Liam Scott contributing 26 in an 82-run opening stand. After both openers departed at the same score, Nathan McSweeney and Lachlan Shaw added 58 runs for the second wicket to keep the visitors in contention. Series result: Australia A won 2-1.
