On May 9, Panjagutta police registered a case under the NDPS Act after EAGLE sleuths caught Keshav Raj Singh while he was allegedly attempting to sell 13 grams of MDMA and seven grams of charas. The suppliers received Rs 40,000 from Keshav, who intended to sell the drugs for Rs 80,000. Further examination of the arrested accused’s mobile phone led investigators to identify 25 people from Hyderabad who were allegedly purchasing drugs.

“Keshav procured MDMA and charas from Vedank of Marredpally and Kristy alias Fernandes of Goa, and supplied the substances to known contacts,” police said. Hyderabad: More than five months after busting a drug supply case, EAGLE sleuths arrested a Goa resident who allegedly played a key role in operating a network that supplied drugs to Hyderabad. The arrested was identified as Custodio Fernandes alias Kristy, a resident of Agar Vaddo in Calangute, North Goa. The drugs were seized from his car’s dashboard. He was allegedly caught while attempting to sell them to Ayush Gupta, Rohan Williams and Lakkireddy Nikhil Anurag.

A financial analysis reportedly revealed credits totalling over Rs 48 lakh in the bank accounts examined during the investigation, according to officials.

“We have information that Nigi operates out of Goa and coordinates drug deliveries by using his Indian associates,” investigators said. Kristy’s associates allegedly travelled to Hyderabad, delivered drugs to customers, collected cash and deposited the money into accounts linked to him. Investigators are scrutinising the sources, beneficiaries and nature of these transactions to determine their possible links to the suspected drug supply network. Custodio is also accused of having links with Nigi, a Nigerian national. The role of Nigi’s associates is also under investigation, they added.
