CMOH Soumya Shankar Sarangi said multiple complaints have been lodged against Bauri earlier. On being rejected, Bauri allegedly assaulted her. A departmental inquiry has been initiated. Download the TOI App.
The survivor — a nurse of a local health centre — visited the BMOH office on Thursday to collect some documents when the accused, Prabir Kumar Bauri, allegedly made some romantic advances, according to police sources. The nurse filed a formal complaint on Sunday. Bauri was produced in court on Monday and has been remanded to two days’ judicial custody.
