Lucknow: A resident of Lucknow’s Madiaon area has been booked for obtaining two passports using different personal details, including variations in his name, parents’ names and date of birth.

The case was registered at Madiaon police station on Oct 11 following an inquiry ordered by assistant commissioner of police (Aliganj). Zeeshan obtained his first passport in July 2016 using the name Zeeshan, listing his parents as Wasim Ali and Phooljahan, with his date of birth recorded as Jan 1, 1989, according to the FIR. However, police alleged that when he applied for another passport in Feb 2023, several personal details were changed. The second application reportedly carried the name Zeeshan Khan, listed his parents as Wasim Khan and Phooltara Khan, and recorded his date of birth as Jan 1, 1994.

Accused Zeeshan Khan , a resident of Mutakkipur village, has been charged under provisions of the BNS and the Passports Act. The address mentioned was Mutakkipur village under Madiaon police limits. The discrepancies surfaced during a police inquiry, which found mismatches in key identity details across the two passport records. Investigators suspect the changes were made deliberately while obtaining official documents.

Investigation is underway.
