Telangana high court reserves orders on Amrapali's plea against stay on T cadre allotment

Hyderabad : The Telangana high court on Tuesday reserved orders on an application filed by IAS officer Amrapali seeking to vacate an interim stay on a Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) order that had directed her allocation to the Telangana cadre.

the high court in Dec 2025 stayed implementation of the tribunal’s order pending final adjudication of the matter While hearing the Centre’s challenge. He argued that two officers who were initially treated as insiders in the undivided state were subsequently classified as outsiders in an Oct 10, 2014, notification, resulting in a reduction in the number of general-category insider posts allotted to Telangana. The case stems from a petition filed by the Centre challenging the CAT, Hyderabad, order issued in June directing Amrapali’s allocation to Telangana. Amrapali subsequently moved an interlocutory application seeking vacation of the interim stay.
