Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A major technical, financial and administrative scam has been alleged in the school education department of Beed Zilla Parishad, with insiders accused of manipulating govt education portals to create fake students and even non-existent schools.
He also sought scrutiny of all new school proposals approved between 2020 and 2026, along with a forensic audit of alleged illegal Aadhaar transfers in the UDISE system.
“By showing fictitious student enrolment through online systems, authorities allegedly prevented teachers from being declared surplus, enabling continuation of govt grants and salary payments,” Inamdar said. “The recent case is only the tip of the iceberg,” Inamdar said. When contacted, director of education (primary) Sharad Gosavi said the detailed inquiry report in the Beed school case was still awaited. SIT probe into the Shalarth ID scam is also under way, and its scope includes Beed district,” Gosavi said.
In a complaint submitted to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior school education department officials, Beed-based activist Sadiq Inamdar alleged that certain officials, in collusion with private school managements and headmasters, had been misusing govt systems for personal gain. The allegations come amid action against a principal of a Beed school, who has been suspended and faces criminal proceedings for allegedly inflating student numbers and creating three fake admissions of students from Uttarakhand. The complaint also alleges manipulation of staffing approvals in private aided schools. Demanding a high-level investigation, Inamdar called for a cyber forensic audit of digital logs, login IDs and administrative access records linked to the education portals. “Once the report is received, we will decide the future course of action.
