Nishad Party chief Sanjay Nishad
Lucknow: Reiterating the NISHAD Party’s demand for Scheduled Caste (SC) reservation for the fishermen community, party chief Sanjay Nishad on Tuesday gave a “Dilli Chalo” call to party workers for an event in the national capital on Oct 21. “United community, strong organisation and a loud demand for our rights is our resolve,” he said. “While we are with govt, we will also raise our voice for our rights,” Nishad said.
Nishad, who is the fisheries minister in Yogi Adityanath govt, held a meeting in Hapur to review preparations for the programme scheduled at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. The event is part of a series of eight gatherings being organised by the party to mobilise support for its demand for reservation for the fishermen community in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The party has already organised two such events in Prayagraj and Sultanpur. During the meeting, Nishad directed office-bearers and workers to ensure massive participation and make the Delhi programme a grand success.
