Kochi: Following the success of its flagship High Spirits boutique at Vyttila Metro station

Kochi: Following the success of its flagship High Spirits boutique at Vyttila Metro station, Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) has opened a premium outlet at Tripunithura terminal Metro station.

The air-conditioned facility spans 3,000 sq ft across two floors (1,500 sq ft on each level). The Tripunithura store offers the exact same expansive inventory found at Vyttila, featuring daily sales averaging around Rs 22 lakh. At both locations, customers can purchase up to three litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, two litres of Foreign Made Foreign Liquor (FMFL) and 3.5 litres of beer.

It replaces an older location in Kakkanad that had to be relocated following a court order due to nearby restrictions. The launch is part of a broader collaboration between Kochi Metro Rail Ltd and Bevco, signed last year to boost the Metro’s non-fare revenue by transforming transit stations into commercial hubs. “Interior works are progressing and the outlet will be fully operational next month,” said a Bevco official. “While sealed bottles are permitted for purchase and transport, public consumption or travelling with opened liquor bottles remains strictly prohibited,” the official said. The stores operate from 10am to 9pm and accept all modern digital payment methods. Authorities anticipate that these world-class retail experiences will elevate Kochi’s modern appeal and boost overall Metro ridership. Download the TOI App.
