How a busy superstar found calm in his garden, and how all of it began, let’s find out. David Beckham, the former England captain and Inter Miami co-owner, has been showing fans a calmer life away from the stadium lights. His Instagram page is full of hens, bees, garden produce and the family’s much-loved dogs.

But today an almost unrecognisable side of him shows up, as he has embraced a quieter and subtler life at home, extending to farming and looking after his chickens and bees at his England ranch.

Beckham fell in love with beekeeping during the lockdown and built a hive worth about £500 at his Cotswolds home.

During the visit, Beckham handed the King a jar of his home-produced honey and the King, who keeps beehives on his own estates, thanked him and joked, “We shall have to do a swap.” Apart from that, the football star also posts photos of him with his pets, dogs and children tending to the farm life, and they share gardening moments with their father and have settled happily into the family’s spacious garden. The Beckhams’ Cotswolds home is a converted barn near Chipping Norton, close to Great Tew in Oxfordshire. Victoria has shared videos of him looking after it on social media, and he showed the hobby on screen in his Netflix documentary, wearing a white bee suit.

Previously, he took to Instagram to show that his wife, Victoria Beckham, had gifted him chickens as a Christmas present.
