Varanasi: Asking BJP workers to counter opposition campaigns appropriately, BJP national secretary and Uttar Pradesh co-in charge Jagdish Patel said, “In the previous Lok Sabha elections, opposition created confusion over changes in the Constitution. Such campaigns should be countered with facts and details of govt’s work. ” Patel was speaking at the conclusion of a two-day expander training camp of the party for the Kashi and Gorakhpur regions on Thursday, with a focus on strengthening booth-level organisation, expanding social outreach and preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The sessions covered election strategy, UP’s social and political landscape, changing social equations, public opinion trends and grassroots-level challenges. Through presentations, party workers were briefed on the social structure, political situation and local characteristics of different areas.
Commenting on PDA politics, Patel questioned the opposition’s social strategy and said BJP workers must consolidate its core voter base while reaching out to new social groups in a planned manner. Patel also compared the previous SP govt with the current Yogi govt and said women’s safety, secure environment for traders and good governance should be highlighted before the public with facts. Regional president Ashok Chaurasia said the camp was an important initiative to strengthen the organisation’s political understanding, social outlook and working capacity.
