Former NBA player Delonte West has married his longtime girlfriend Melissa Anaya after the couple spent 20 years together. The couple officially became husband and wife on October 16, 2026, after years of being together. The news comes as West celebrates 11 months of sobriety and continues to focus on rebuilding his life away from the basketball court. West enjoyed a 12-year NBA career after being selected 24th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2004 NBA Draft. After 20 years together, the couple have officially become husband and wife.
The marriage marks a major personal milestone for West, who has faced several struggles away from basketball over the years. Anaya has remained a major source of support during his recovery journey and recent progress in sobriety. West and Anaya have shared a long relationship that has seen them support each other through difficult periods. Anaya has reportedly been by West’s side during his therapy and recovery in West Palm Beach, Florida. She even gifted him an official NBA basketball during his therapy sessions. Their marriage now begins a new chapter after two decades together. He also played for the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks before continuing his career overseas and in the NBA G League.
