Hyderabad: US-based AI engineering company Altimetrik opened a healthcare and life sciences centre of excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad on Friday, launching its PharmaOS, an agentic AI platform aimed at helping life sciences clients move from concept to validated workflow within a week.
The CoE, housed in Altimetrik’s 22,000-square-foot office in Gachibowli, brings together AI engineers and healthcare specialists to develop regulated, traceable AI agents for drug discovery, clinical development, commercial operations, manufacturing, patient engagement and care delivery. More than 300 Altimetrik employees are based at the site. PharmaOS, built on the company’s ALTi AIOS framework, includes more than 35 agents and accelerators for areas including clinical and regulatory evidence review, GxP compliance, quality, data modernisation and responsible AI. The company’s headcount recently surpassed 11,000 employees worldwide after that expansion.
Altimetrik CEO Raj Sundaresan said Hyderabad’s pharma expertise and technology talent made it the right location for the CoE. Ramji Vasudevan, Altimetrik’s healthcare and life sciences head, said PharmaOS gives clients a validated agent on their own data in a week. The platform is designed to connect with enterprise workflows and trusted data sources while preserving human oversight and accountability. The Hyderabad launch follows Altimetrik’s Pune expansion and strengthens its India role in global AI engineering delivery.
