NEW DELHI: India will have two captains during the five-match ODI series against New Zealand. Shubman Gill will lead the team in the first three matches, while Shreyas Iyer will take over for the final two games. Iyer, who will be Gill’s deputy in the first three ODIs, has been named captain for the fourth and fifth matches. Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan will serve as his vice-captain in those games. The selectors have included left-handed batter Tilak Varma and pacer Auqib Nabi in the squad for the last two matches. There is no recall for senior pacers Mohammed Shami or Bhuvneshwar Kumar, despite speculation. Bhuvneshwar was added to the squad for the fifth T20I against the West Indies in Bengaluru.
