Hyderabad: The labour department issued the victory certificate to the RTC-recognised union election winners on Saturday night following a protest by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) over the delay.
The JAC alliance, comprising the Employees Union, Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU) and National Mazdoor Union (NMU), secured a decisive victory in the polls, with results announced on Oct 17.

JAC leader M Thomas Reddy alleged that officials had created hurdles throughout the election process and questioned the delay in issuing the certificate. The alliance had also sought labour minister Vivek Venkataswamy’s intervention to expedite the process. The certificate was finally handed over to the winning alliance following the protest.
