Officials confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported. The facility houses equipment being prepared for anti-drone testing. Hyderabad: A fire broke out at the godown of Unistring Tech Solutions in Khanamet, Madhapur, on Sunday evening.
A fire call was received at around 4.10 pm, following which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, according to fire officials. However, this remains a preliminary suspicion and has not been confirmed.
The interruption may have affected the cooling system, potentially causing batteries to overheat and triggering the fire, police said. The fire was brought under control. The blaze broke out in a shed made of wire mesh and sheets, where machinery was stored. The extent of damage to equipment and property is yet to be assessed. Meanwhile, Madhapur police suspect that a power interruption may have contributed to the incident.
The electricity supply to the facility had reportedly been shut down on Sunday for transformer repair work.
Madhapur station fire officer (SFO) Prashanth said the fire appeared to have originated from the machines stored in the godown, but the exact cause was yet to be ascertained.
Officials said a detailed inspection and investigation would be conducted to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of property damage.
