The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Lucknow: The four-member central team of BJP led by party national general secretary and UP in-charge Vinod Tawde will launch a full-scale campaign in the run-up to the UP Assembly elections.

UP BJP sources said of the three co-in-charges, Pradeep Verma has been asked to focus on the Awadh and Gorakhpur regions, while Anant Ojha has been assigned West UP and the Braj region. “The idea is to mobilize the organizational machinery to its fullest,” said a senior UP BJP member. He said the regional deployment is intended to bring the central leadership closer to district-level units and Assembly constituencies, allowing the party to obtain a more granular assessment of its electoral prospects. He said the team will connect frequently with the district units besides channelling the organisational wings, including Vistaraks and the Assembly in-charge, to collect feedback and inputs about sitting MLAs and prospective candidates, besides keeping a hawk-eyed vigil on the opposition at the ground level. Sources said BJP will start shifting gears after Diwali with the launch of campaign blitzkrieg led by PM Narendra Modi , home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Nitin Nabin. Analysts said BJP’s fresh strategy signals a move beyond routine organisational reviews to a more intensive, ground-level exercise as it eyes straight consecutive Assembly win in UP.

his three deputies have been allocated two regions each for mobilising the organisational cadre and shoring up party positioning against an aggressive opposition While Tawde gears up to criss-cross the state to stepup preparations. Likewise, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel will oversee the Kashi and Kanpur-Bundelkhand regions. The fourth co-in-charge, Medha Kulkarni, will be stationed at the party headquarters in Lucknow besides supervising the women and youth affairs outreach programmes.
