RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat performs Shastra Puja at Reshimbagh ground as part of the Vijaya Dashmi celebrations in Nagpur
Bhagwat, speaking at the annual Vijaya Dashmi event at Nagpur’s Reshimbagh ground that also marked the conclusion of the Sangh’s centennial, said India’s “growing strength has turned it into a target for global forces”. These forces, he cautioned, were “trying to weaken the country by exploiting its social divisions” and installing what he termed “proxies” in positions of influence. “A storm has swept in from the West. Even the so-called developed nations across the world are affected by this storm.”
Bhagwat said Bharat has carved out a place in the world through its strength and policy-making. He paired the warning with praise for Centre, albeit without mentioning PM Modi.
Alluding to protests by CJP and opposition (led by Congress), he said public movements must seek solutions within the Constitution and law instead of letting “bitterness”, discord or pursuit of popularity deepen divisions.
