Kanpur: Nights in Kanpur division have started turning colder, with the minimum temperature dropping to 17 degrees Celsius and the maximum settling at 32.2 degrees Celsius over the past 24 hours. The difference of around 15 degrees between day and night temperatures has made early mornings noticeably cooler.
The maximum temperature was 0.3 degrees below normal, while the minimum was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius. Despite the maximum temperature crossing 32 degrees Celsius, the day remained pleasant, with no sultry conditions reported. The maximum relative humidity stood at 93%, while north-westerly winds blew at 2.5 kmph, adding to the cool feel during the morning hours.
Meanwhile, CSA weather expert S N Sunil Pandey said a weak western disturbance was active over parts of north India, particularly Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, leading to a drop in temperatures in the hilly regions. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain around 31 and 19 degrees Celsius, respectively. Winds are likely to blow from the north and north-east during the evening and night before shifting to the west and north-west from Friday morning through the afternoon.
