Kanpur: Under the guidance of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and in accordance with the directives of the UP State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow , National Lok Adalat will be organised at the Civil Court compound on Dec 12, informed secretary of District Legal Service Authority Abhinav Tiwari. A wide range of cases, including motor accident compensation claims, civil disputes, family matters, bank loan recovery cases, matters under the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act, and revenue-related cases, will be resolved through mutual settlement.
He stated that ahead of the National Lok Adalat, pre-trial sessions would be held on Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 11, Nov 18, and Nov 25 to facilitate the resolution of the relevant cases. He appealed to the parties concerned to participate in the pre-trial proceedings and cooperate in resolving their disputes through mutual consent so that the upcoming National Lok Adalat could be made a success. Pre-trial proceedings will take place in the same court that is hearing the case.
If the plaintiff and the defendant wish to resolve their dispute through a settlement, they may appear before the court concerned on the scheduled dates to express their consent.
