Vasai: A 16-year-old Class 10 student drowned while swimming in a well in Manikpur area of Vasai West on Saturday afternoon. After completing his Class 10 preliminary examination on Saturday, Prem went swimming with his friends in a well on Church Road in Manikpur. The deceased, identified as Prem Pravin Sawant, lived in the Deepdarshan building in Gokhivare, Vasai East. He was a student of G J Vartak College in Vasai. He reportedly misjudged the depth of the water and drowned. Fire brigade personnel later retrieved his body from the well. Download the TOI App.
