The incident occurred around 7pm, according to the complaint filed with Bopal police. The manager said he was at the company’s office in Telav when the plant operator called and told him that unidentified men were assaulting him. The manager further told police that the plant’s security guard, loader operator and helper were verbally abused and assaulted by the same group. He told police that the operator who had called him could not be traced later and that his mobile phone was switched off.
But when the manager arrived at the spot, the operator was nowhere to be seen. Instead, he found himself surrounded by three men who allegedly slapped him, pushed him to the ground and threatened to kill him. He also alleged that the trio assaulted three other employees. He rushed to the plant but could not find the operator. The manager alleged that one of the men called him over, grabbed him by the collar and slapped him repeatedly. The other two allegedly abused him and pushed him to the ground when he tried to get away. The men allegedly threatened to kill him if they saw him again. The manager expressed suspicion that the attackers or their associates probably grabbed the operator. The complaint also states that a CCTV camera covering the area had been obstructed.
