Sujith
Idukki : A 25-year-old bus cleaner was killed after falling through a window from the third floor of a private tourist lodge at Adimali in Idukki on Sunday. As per Adimali Police’s preliminary probe, Sujith died due to excessive blood loss. The deceased is Sujith , a native of Nilamamoodu Laksham Veedu Colony at Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram . He was part of a tourist bus crew accompanying students of Anna College in Kanyakumari on a trip to Munnar. During the return trip, accommodation was arranged for the staff of two buses at a newly opened, unnamed tourist lodge near Palko fuel station in Adimali. When they woke up in the morning, Sujith was missing from the room, but the door was locked from inside. When they looked through the window, they found him lying below, beside the building. He had sustained a deep wound to his abdomen, possibly after his body struck a corrugated metal sheet partition. Fingerprint experts and a forensic team from Idukki conducted an examination at the scene. Police suspect that Sujith may have accidentally fallen through the window, which had no protective bars. However, the exact circumstances of the fall are yet to be established.
The group had left Kanyakumari in seven tourist buses on Thursday. After staying at Marayoor on Friday, the group completed its visit to Munnar on Saturday and began the return journey. After having dinner on Saturday night, four crew members from two buses went to sleep in a room on the lodge’s top floor.
