The inductions come as political parties have begun expanding their organisational base ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with the Samajwadi Party continuing its outreach across districts through membership and induction drives.
Welcoming the new entrants, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said their inclusion would strengthen the party’s organisation in different regions of the state. He said they represent various sections of society and would contribute to the party’s preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections. Former IAS officer Ram Bahadur Pasi also joined the SP. Former Bisauli MLA Kushagra Sagar, former Dataganj MLA Sinod Kumar Shakya, former block pramukh and former BSP Lok Sabha candidate Kalicharan alias KC Shakya, and BJP member Pradeep Pandey, who has served as a director in the Food Corporation of India also joined the party. Several supporters of these politicians also joined the Samajwadi Party.
Lucknow : Many politicians, including former MLAs and members associated with BJP and BSP , joined the Samajwadi Party in Lucknow on Monday in the presence of party president Akhilesh Yadav .
