Those found guilty in the paper leak case must not be let off with suspension alone. Former minister and MLA Vishwajeet Kadam gave this assurance, pledging to stand shoulder to shoulder with the students until their struggle achieves its objective. The programme was organised at Indulal Complex on Shastri Road in Pune. The programme was organised through the initiative of Swapnil Bhise, Amol Salve, Dhananjay Nikam, among others. Speaking on the occasion, Vishwajeet Kadam emphasised that examination paper leaks are rarely the work of a single individual. Instead, they often involve an entire network that must be identified and exposed. He praised the determination of students who come to Pune from every corner of Maharashtra and study for as many as sixteen hours a day despite their financially disadvantaged backgrounds. He described them not merely as students but as the future pillars of Maharashtra. The MPSC paper leak and the corrupt practices of certain individuals have undermined the hard work of aspiring candidates and allowed unsuitable people to occupy positions. Such incidents do more than shatter students’ expectations. The anger they generate among young aspirants is entirely understandable. Kadam stressed that the network responsible for such a serious offence must be dismantled rather than protected. He observed that the movement, which emerged under student leadership, has gone far beyond the streets. It has reached households across Maharashtra and even drawn attention at the national level in Delhi. Students Urged to Gather Evidence and Submit It to the Inquiry Committee Addressing the students leading the movement, Vishwajeet Kadam urged them to travel across Maharashtra in groups, gather any additional evidence relating to the paper leak and submit it to the inquiry committee. He assured them of his full support throughout this process. He also called upon Maharashtra govt to remain accountable to the people and ensure that no obstacles are placed in the way of the ongoing investigation. Kadam stated that if the inquiry report was found to be satisfactory, it would certainly be accepted. However, if the findings were considered inadequate or inappropriate, govt would be urged to make the necessary corrections and pursue further investigation. He concluded by reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the students, assuring them that he would stand firmly by their side even if the circumstances required them to return to the streets and continue their struggle.
