Amid a plethora of heavily adorned sarees featuring glittery details and bold festive designs, Kriti Sanon is making a convincing case for letting the fabric take centre stage. After turning heads as the showstopper for Abhinav Mishra, the diva stepped out in a contemporary saree by Bodice, which showcased the beauty of the fabric and the sophistication of its structure rather than relying on embroidery and embellishments.

In a recent public event in Delhi, Kriti Sanon donned a saree, but with a modern twist. She was spotted in a red saree from Bodice, a collection designed by Ruchika Mehta from New Delhi, which had the designer’s three-dimensional white stripes pattern on the borders and the blouse. The fabric used for the saree was viscose crepe, which made the drape show no designs except for the matching white stripes. These white stripes provided definition and distinction to the monotone drape, making it one of a kind. The striped design of the sleeves and a subtle open back complemented the solid red colour of the saree’s body and transformed the outfit, giving it an edgy overall aesthetic. To complete the look, she added a coloured ivory Koko Halo Cascade clutch from Outhouse Jewellery and matched the look with sleek white pumps. Her hairstylist, Aasif Ahmed, completed Sanon’s hairstyle with her famous blowout with a sleek side parting, whereas for makeup, artist Adrian Jacobs applied a smoky rose-brown eyeshadow with a clean base, soft blush, and lip gloss.
