Ahmedabad: Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC) has opened choice filling for the first round of postgraduate medical admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. Eligible candidates can fill their choices for 2,208 seats in MD, MS, diploma and DNB courses until 10am on Oct 31. They can view their filled choices from noon the same day.
The choice-filling process follows the publication of the provisional merit list on Oct 22. In the provisional merit list, the committee said 6,340 candidates had registered for postgraduate medical courses. Of these, 5,970 featured in the provisional merit list, while 313 were disqualified. The category-wise provisional merit list included 2,255 candidates in the open category, 1,492 in the economically weaker section (EWS) category, 1,466 in the socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC) category, 382 in the scheduled caste (SC) category and 375 in the scheduled tribe (ST) category.
