Pune: A man trying to break into an ATM of a public-sector bank in Sadashiv Peth around 2.15 am on Monday was thwarted by a police constable and detained. He was later released by the police.

Senior inspector Navnath Jagtap of Vishrambaug police station told TOI , “The suspect was breaking the ATM unit and the passbook printer in the kiosk when our team spotted him. We have served him a notice asking him to cooperate with the investigation,” police said.
