Meerut : A 30-year-old woman was hacked to death with an axe by her husband in Chaurasia village of Shahjahanpur on Wednesday afternoon after she allegedly objected to his drinking, which led to an argument between the two, police said. The accused, Avanish, who worked at a private company in Punjab, fled with one of their two toddler sons after the attack.
CO Jalalabad Deepak Kumar Singh said Sushila died on the spot and her body had been sent for postmortem. Teams have been formed to arrest the accused and safely recover the child,” he said. “The report is awaited.
