Kanpur: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP): The wider industry impact

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Kanpur: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on Tuesday announced a provisional list of around 116 examination centres for the high school and intermediate examinations in Kanpur. After verification, the board has given priority to 17 new centres while reducing the number of centres in Kalyanpur, where 10 existing centres have been abolished.

District inspector of schools Praveen Kumar Tiwari said the board had already announced that the high school and intermediate examinations would be held from February 5 to 24, 2027. Principal of Hira Lal Khanna Inter College, Jawahar Nagar, said the proposed examination centre for his students was within a radius of 12 km. The examinations will take place in two shifts, and the examination schedule has been uploaded to the board’s website.

Until last year, students had to travel to Sati Chaura School in the Cantonment area, making access less convenient.

The board has informed the 116 schools identified as proposed examination centres and invited objections, if any, through its online portal. The district centre-fixing committee will examine the objections before preparing the final list, which will then be sent to the UP Board headquarters in Prayagraj.

Around 87,846 students are expected to appear for the examinations this year. Of these, 46,013 will take the high school examinations and 41,833 the intermediate examinations.
