Mumbai: The opposition bloc lost no time in taunting CM Devendra Fadnavis for his premature tweet mocking Congress for failing to win any seat in the polls nationally even before the final results came from the Nagpur graduates constituency, where counting went on for over 40 hours. “In 2029, the people of Maharashtra will drop such a political bombshell on you that even this tweet will come back to haunt you. ..
At least Congress is consistent at something,” the CM had said. Congress said Fadnavis was “forced” to delete his post and called its win a trailer. NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar said Fadnavis’s tweet displayed “immense ego of power”. “Perhaps you forgot that the election was held via ballot, so the tweet might have been made prematurely…” he posted.
