Police said the woman had been living separately from her husband for around seven months. The man allegedly traced her to the spa and she was about to leave, he reportedly told her to stop. Instead, the woman booked an app-bike and left, with the man following her in his car, police said. Denying he deliberately hit the bike, the man said as he chased the two-wheeler, it skidded and the riders fell.
Police, who suspect the incident stemmed from a marital dispute, are investigating if the man deliberately hit the two-wheeler after tracing his wife to a spa at BG Block in New Town. In his statement to police, the man claimed he had tried to stop the app bike but the rider did not listen.
