Banda: Police arrested two men accused of shooting and seriously injuring their father and brother-in-law, respectively, over a family and land dispute in Murwal village of Banda district.
Mahadev alleged in his complaint that his son, Shiva , and his brother-in-law, Kamta, shot him with a country-made pistol on the evening of Oct 28 with intent to kill him, according to police. Acting on a tip-off received during patrolling, police arrested the two men near Turki Talab on Oct 29. A .315-bore country-made pistol and an empty cartridge were recovered from their possession, police said.
Police registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
