The move comes after two students, picked up from the campus on Oct 29 following a tip-off, tested positive for ganja.

“As part of the investigations in both cases, 24 university students have been identified as ganja consumers,” an EAGLE official said. “To safeguard their future, EAGLE Force proposes to address a letter to the vice-chancellor of the university, requesting the administration to convene meetings with the parents of the students concerned, counsel them on the harmful consequences of drug addiction and, wherever necessary, facilitate their admission to appropriate de-addiction centres for professional treatment and rehabilitation,” read a statement issued by EAGLE. Hyderabad: The EAGLE sleuths have decided to reach out to the vice-chancellor of a central university, urging the administration to convene a meeting with parents and students to address drug consumption on campus. In Aug, EAGLE Force had conducted a similar operation following reports of ganja use among university students and registered a case.
