BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde at the state BJP working committee meeting.
Lucknow: BJP general secretary and UP in-charge Vinod Tawde said that CM Yogi Adityanath will be the face of the party in the 2027 Assembly elections. He said that the 2027 elections will not merely be about forming govt in Uttar Pradesh but about strengthening the resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat’. He said that while the SP was attempting to approach the public with a new facade and fresh promises, its true character remains the same as what the people of UP saw prior to 2017. He pointed out that in 2017 the BJP secured 312 Assembly seats on its own. Earlier reporting noted: Widespread sentiment in favor of BJP across UP: Chaudhary Lucknow: The UP BJP state working committee signalled the formal start of campaign for the 2027 Assembly elections, with party’s state president Pankaj Chaudhary asserting that the party was moving ahead with a firm resolve to return to office in UP for the third consecutive term. Earlier reporting noted: He said BJP was prepared to write a new chapter of victory in the 2027 elections.
Tawde said that the party would reach out to every section of society to address their cause of concerns, if any. “Today, building on the achievements of both central and state govts, there is an opportunity to replicate that historic victory,” he said. To achieve this, every party worker must focus on micro-management at the booth level, door-to-door outreach, and the effective implementation of organisational strategies, Tawde said. “Every party worker will dedicate themself to election preparations, drawing strength from the organization, govt’s accomplishments, and a steadfast commitment to public service,” he said.
Speaking at the state BJP working committee meeting, Tawde urged the party workers to exercise patience during distribution of tickets to the candidates. He stressed that the tickets will be distributed on the basis of winnability and the credentials of the candidate. He hit out at the Samajwadi Party by referring to the famous satirical piece ‘Bhed aur Bhediye’ (Sheep and Wolves) by satirist Harishankar Parsai. He urged party workers to highlight the stark contrast between the tenure of the previous SP govt and the achievements under CM Yogi Adityanath—specifically regarding law and order, development, and public welfare. He urged party workers to remain actively engaged with the public by highlighting the achievements of both central and state govts.
Earlier reporting noted: Addressing the meeting, Chaudhary noted that there was a strong, widespread sentiment in favor of the BJP across the state.
