Telangana IT & industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu inspects the newly inaugurated manufacturing facility of homegrown electronics player Mivi
Our manufacturing sector recorded about 7.7% growth in 2025,” he said, referring to the state’s target of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
Mivi said the investment is aimed at strengthening domestic design, technology and production capabilities while contributing to the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. Inaugurating the facility, Telangana IT and industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said Telangana was increasingly becoming a preferred destination for electronics investments, backed by strong digital and physical infrastructure, a skilled talent pool, ease of doing business, research institutions and global industry presence. “With homegrown success stories like Mivi, Telangana has the ecosystem to innovate and manufacture not just for India, but for global markets,” he said, pointing out that Mivi has sought another 100 acres land for further expansion. Sridhar Babu said Telangana’s industrial ambitions were expanding beyond its established strengths. Mivi co-founder Midhula Devabhaktuni said Mivi, which recently also made its foray into the mobile segment with 5G smartphones, would continue investing in its own technology and manufacturing capabilities with Indian consumers at the centre. Mivi co-founder Viswanadh Kandula said the new facility reflected the company’s confidence in India as an electronics manufacturing hub.
Funded through its parent company, Avishakaran Industries Pvt Ltd, the new unit will support manufacturing across the company’s consumer electronics portfolio. “We are an IT-driven state. We are number one in pharma and life sciences, and now we are leading in defence, aerospace, space and drones.
